Introduction
All Aboard for the 4th Grade Raleigh Trip!!!

Are you getting excited?!?!? On March 15th the 4th grade will be taking their annual trip to Raleigh, North Carolina.

Task
Wait...why are we even going????

It is not just a day to get out of school. In 4th grade, we learn a lot about our state. Landforms, cultures, and regions are just to name a few. We now are going to learn about the government level and different museums.

While in Raleigh, we will be stopping at five different places. These places are:
The Capitol
The Legislative Building
Union Square
North Carolina Museum of Natural Science
North Carolina Museum of History

You are going to use Google Maps to map and find out information about the five places that we are going to visit.

Math is essential to trips!
When we are in Raleigh, we will be walking around all over the place! Estimate the distance of walking that we will be doing. Make sure that this is listed somewhere in your Google Map.
In your Google Map, make sure that you are covering as much information as possible because some 4th graders (even teachers) have never been. Make sure that when you are researching you are finding the important details. Since this is an informational piece, captions, titles, subtitles, pictures, etc. should be used.
Process
So how am I going to find the information if I have never been?

Here are some different websites that you will be able to find information about each place:
North Carolina Museum of Natural Science
North Carolina Muesum of History
