Introduction

Ever wonder how a genocide comes into fruition? Many people just know about the mass murders that occur in a genocide not that the reasons behind it. So its your job to research the Ukraine Genocide and enlighten others on a genocide other than just the mass murders. In this WebQuest you will learn how the Ukraine Genocide came about. You will do activities to discover how the genocide started, what was the purpose of the genocide, and the impact it had.

Task

This requires the student to do research certain topics on the genocide

1. What fused the Ukraine genocide

2. What was the purpose of the genocide

3. Why was Joseph Stalin's method of killing so successful

4. What impact did it have on the Ukraine society in years to come

After students will write an analytical essay on the topics researched

Process

This will be atleast a 3 page essay

  • First do some background research on the topic to get an idea
  • Next start answering the questions in full detail
  • Then analyze the research collected and make sure the information is relevant
  • After the student will tie together all the information and make it sequential
  • Finally you will write your essay

*Remember to include factual evidence and quotes that pertain to the research
