2nd Grade Nutrition

Introduction

You are a medical writer researching health information. You will go to the various websites that are provided with instructions that take you all over
the web, watching videos and doing activities with nutrition facts. The ending product
will be a nutrition pamphlet that you will make that will be handed out a
local doctor’s office. The pamphlet will be graded by a rubric.

Task

As you gain knowledge of nutrition you will transform all the facts you have obtained into a creative pamphlet using Word to inform your readers what nutrition is and why it is important.

Process

The third step:  http://www.nourishinteractive.com/nutrition-education-printables/585-estimate-portion-size-food-groups-kids-information-household-items this link has the matching myplate game, play the game. Can you use the my plate diagram to list the five compnents of a healthy plate?

Use the healthy plate diagram to list food that would fall under each category.

The forth step: the construction of your pamphlet. use the website and sources to answer the questions listed above. Take your answers and include them in a pamphlet using word processor and the pamplet layouts. Be crative. You will distibute your pamplet in your local doctors office.
