Have you ever looked up an saw hundreds or perhaps thousands of birds flying through the sky? Those birds were MIGRATING.
Birds are just one of the different kinds of animals that migrate. Many animals from all over the world migrate. Some animals migrate thousands of miles! In this WebQuest you will learn not only which animals migrate, but why they travel and where they go.
Task
The Task:
Your class will be divided up into five groups. Each group will represent a different migrating animal. Each group will be responsible for three main tasks.
1. Research your group's migrating animal to find out why they migrate.
(Use the animal worksheet to write down your information)
2. Find out where your group's migrating animal travels.
3. Use the information gathered to design a migrating animal trading card.
