Where do butterflies come from? The butterfly wants to learn more about his life as he was growing up. What are his stages? Can you help the butterfly? You and your group will explore many interesting facts about butterflies. You will learn the stages in the butterfly life cycle! |
Task
You will help the butterfly learn about each stage of his life. Your teacher will read many stories about butterflies and caterpillars. After listening to these stories, you and your group will visit some websites to learn more about your stage of the life cycle. You will also watch video clips about the changes in that cycle. Next, your group will demonstrate to the class what happens in the butterflies life cycle stages. Finally, your group will present your research about butterflies.

Process

First, your teacher will ask you what you know about butterflies and caterpillars. Then your teacher will read you some fun books about butterflies and caterpillars before you begin this webquest.
Second, your teacher will assign you a group (partner) to work with. Please cooperate and share ideas with each other.
(Task 1)Next your group will explore the webquest sites to see pictures and video clips of the life cycle of the butterfly.
