The Spanish speaking countries are full of amazing folk tales, legends, and fables. The purpose of this assignment is for you to learn a little bit more about the Spanish speaking world through reading a story that interests you. 

Task

In groups of 4-5 students each you will create a poster board, power point, imovie, or any other media that you will present to the class.

In you poster you need to include the following categories, remember to use parts of the story to break down the plot.

Characters - a brief description of the main characters.

Setting – One paragraph describing the where and when does the story take place.

Problem – include rising action, climax, and falling action

Resolution – how does the story end, is there a message or moral?

Also include a brief paragraph to introduce the author (if known) and which country the tale is from.

Include pictures, drawings, or short videos related to the story.

All group members need to participate in putting together the poster and presenting it to the class.

Individually browse the following websites and skim through the stories that interest you. Then meet as a group and decide which story interest you the most.

If you already have a story that you would like to share, talk to your teacher so it is approved. Then you can go ahead and research it.

Now whenever there is a family gathering, or simply hanging out with friends, you can entertain them with a short story that you know in detail.
