Capitalization Rules - Easy Grammar Tips on When to Capitalize (With Arabic Subtitles!) - YouTube

Well, I'm glad you asked! Capitalization is when you put a capital letter, or the uppercase letter, to important word or words that need one!

What word or words would that be? Examples include

  • Names (Jim, Bonnie, etc.)
  • Titles (Mr., Mrs. Dr., etc)
  • Places (Tennessee, Seattle, Wisconsin, etc.)
  • Days of the Week and Months of the year  (Monday, November, etc.)
  • Holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, etc.)
  • Companies ( Target, Home Depot, etc.)
  • Brands (Nike, Adidas, etc.)
  • The first letter of a sentence (My dog is sick.)

Now you know! And just in time to help me out with this next activity!
