New master 2 -Unit 5 - Review of a book you've read

Introduction

You are going to write a review of a book you have read. Use the review of Animal Farm in the previous activity as a reference. Do not forget to write a short summary of the story, our opinion and also the possible impact that the book caused on people.

Task

To write a good review, some pieces of information should be taken into account:

  1. Open with an introduction paragraph that identifies the thing you'll be reviewing (e.g., the title of the book or movie);
  2. Write a full paragraph about each of the aspects you want to examine.
    • uses quotes or examples from the book or movie, if possible, to help prove your point.
  3. End with a conclusion paragraph that does the following:
    • *briefly* restates the main ideas of the review;
    • makes a judgment about the book  whatever, saying whether it is good or bad (some reviewers give ratings, like four stars or two thumbs up);
    • recommends that the reader read the book.
