Introduction

- Greetings and welcome to the journey with "Family Members"! Our families are the core of our life; they help to shape our identities, morals, and sense of community.

This unit encourages you to go on an exploration of the complicated structure of relationships between families, learning about the variety and importance of the ties that bind us all together.

Discover the different aspects of family relationships, from close relatives to extended family, and understand the functions that each family member plays to impact the dynamics of the group.

By means of interactive exercises, interesting multimedia materials, and stimulating questions, you will acquire an enhanced comprehension of the value of family in many cultures, traditions, and individual situations.

Task

"Exploring family role and terminology"

Goal: Acquire knowledge of the many functions that make up a family structure and learn how to use family phrases correctly.

Describe the responsibilities of parents, siblings, grandparents, and any members of your immediate circle of family.

Speaking to Family Members:

   - Creating guidance on how to properly address family members.

   - Point out examples which show that using titles such as "uncle" is better than using first names.

Process

Firstly we will start the lesson by looking at some pictures that are shown in the class book.

At Task 1. We are going to divide the close family members from those who are more distant. Reading Material.

Task 2. Make a list of family members, such as the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Give a brief description of the normal responsibilities that each family member does..

Then, we are engaging disscusion between everyone participating. Promote the exchange of individual ideas and life experiences about family responsibilities to create a cooperative and stimulating learning environment.

Evaluation

Evaluation process is based on several concepts:

Observation during class activities (tasks on books)   10%

Interactive games such as memory game - students are asked to name as much new terms of famiy members as they can. Who gets the most, wins the game. Family members memory games not only strengthen vocabulary but also promote memory recall, concentration and cooperative learning in a fun and interactive way.   10%

Worksheets - exercises with fill- in-blanks or drawing lines to connect family members with their titles.   10%

Conclusion

We will begin by summarizing the main points covered during presentation/unit, encouraging personal reflection by connecting the topic to the students' own experiences. Asking them to think about the role of family members in their lives and consider any similarities or differences with what was discussed.

Of course asking the class for any questions is crucial for a better understanding.
