Introduction
In this webquest, you will read and learn about children's opportunities to creative outlets and programs, how they are beneficial to these children and how these programs make improvements to their development and success as children and can prepare them for adulthood.
Even though children are young in age, it does not take away from their struggles. Children struggle in academics, they struggle sometimes with being social, they have could have conflicts at home and they may have also faced some traumas in their young lives already. The question is, what opportunities do we have for these children so they can still positively develop within their schools and their communities---through expressive and creative outlet programs.
Task
Not only do these programs need to be made available to children, these programs need to be reach out to the children. These programs help children develop coping skills, improves their academic performance with being able to cope with their troubles and it gives children a opportunity to create and discover a skill within themselves.

Process
In creating a creative program, think about what you want to make available to the children that you are working with. What do you want them to learn and what do you want them to know.
As a social worker, here are three NASW core values that could be used to properly advocate for these children.
1. Service, first and foremost because these programs are made to serve the children and provide them with these outlet opportunities to improve their well-being and success.
2. The Dignity and Worth of the Person because this idea gives children an opportunity to create things and also express themselves. Within these programs, it should be stressed that each person has their own points of view and their views should be respectful and encouraged to be understood of someone else's perspective and background.
3. The Importance of Human Relationships is important in the purpose of communication and understanding for the bigger picture of these creative programs. For any reason a child wants to be creative, communication and understanding of another persons background and what they aspire to be can be informational. The exchange of knowledge and transparency will strength the purpose and understanding of the mission in these programs, enhancing the well-being of children.
Evaluation
After reading the articles and websites, I hope you have a good enough understanding of how creative programs can help children still positively progress within their communities and schools through various kinds of conflicts they face.
Conclusion
In conclusion, children struggle with various conflicts within their homes, communities and in their education but with exposure to these programs, children will vastly improve within these schools systems, have a healthier upbringing then they would without and the uprise in their success rate of their well-being could decrese their chances of being incarcerated or getting themselves involved in life-risking situations but keep them on a focused path.
