Introduction
Welcome Students! we will learn about the Native American Tribes that lived in Mississippi before the arrival of European explorers. This exploration will help students understand who were the people who were the Native Americans? Where did they live? What did they eat? What customs did they observe? Your journey throughout this Webquest will help you and your classmates to answer the question, "Who were the Native Americans?".
Task
Students will be divided into five groups of four students each group will be researching one tribe each student will have a role or duty in the group. Topics of research include where they live, how they lived, traditions, food, the way of dress, and their customs. The tribes will be Chickasaw, Choctaw, Natchez, Mosopelea, and Pascagoula. You will use the Internet resources below to locate information about your tribe.

Process
Students will be divided into five groups of four students each group will be researching one tribe each student will have a role or duty in the group. The tribes will be Chickasaw, Choctaw, Natchez, Mosopelea, and Pascagoula one member of each group will pull names as to which group will get which tribe .Each group will present to the class "Native American Museum". The work the group will do will become an "exhibit" in our museum. In order to make this nice as possible, each group will display their work on a Tri-fold board, similar to those use in a science fair. Each member of each group must choose three questions to answer about their tribe. All paragraph work should have at least seven sentences. Paragraphs should be well-developed ideas and facts with proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation. You can also make up your own questions and answer them. This is your report, so be creative!! Conclusion
In this Research Project you have researched Native American tribes from the state of Mississippi and surrounding areas. You have also created a tri-fold poster which you will share with your classmates to be presented in the "museum". This was done by researching the Internet to find out information about Native American Tribes and their cultures. Most of all, I hope that you have developed an appreciation for the culture and diversity of Native Americans.
