The students will begin their "trip" in Yellowstone National Park. They will use the first link to "fly" them here. Once "landed" they will answer given questions about Yellow Stone National Park. After their research at Yellowstone, the students will pack up and "fly" to their next destination, Glacier National Park. Here they will conduct research about this National Park to wrap up their trip.

Evaluation

Students will use the following questions about their "trip" to be assessed.

Yellow Stone:

What President signed a law to create the Yellowstone National Park?

What is Yellowstone Park famous for?

What is the worlds most famous Geyser?

What animals live at Yellowstone?

What 2 states in Yellowstone National Park located?

Glacier National Park:

This is the world first what?

This park celebrated peace between which to countries?

How many lakes, glaciers, and streams are located in Glacier National Park?

How many hiking trails are located at Glacier National Park?

Conclusion

After the students "trip", they should be more familiar with National Parks in the United States. This allows students to "travel" to places most do not get the opportunity to do.

I believe this allows students an interesting way to learn about their country. If talking about National Parks in class, I feel this would be a great way to introduce students to them by allowing them to "travel" their themselves.
