Introduction
After students leave high school, most of their regular physical activity that they may have been involved in in high school ends. Physical activity is incredibly important in obtaining and maintaining a healthy weight and to living a healthy life. Because of this, it is essential that individuals are well informed of the resources around them that can help keep them physically active. Through this WebQuest, you will first research some of our area's resources. You will then pick an option that best fits your needs, wants, and interests. Finally, you will create an activity plan for yourself.
Essential Question: How can the community resources around me aid me in my personal physical fitness?
Task
For this WebQuest, you will need to:
- Create a list of pros and cons for at least 2 of the options.
- Answer questions about your favorite option.
- Create a "Personal Fitness Plan" that includes a fitness goal, describes 3 ways you will reach your goal, and an example of a 2 week schedule that plans your physical activity.
Process
- Look through each of the following options, then create a Pros/Cons list for your top two options.
USC Upstate Health and Wellness Complex
- My top 2 choices are:

- Cons
- Now, pick your top choice, investigate it further, then answer the following questions:

- Do you have to have a membership? If so, is there a commitment? Are there membership perks?
- What group activities does it offer?
- What lifetime activities does it offer?
- What one-on-one options does it offer?
- Does it have exercise machines? What types?
- Does it have other exercise equipment? What types?
- What information/help does it offer for a proper diet?
- What is your favorite part about this option?
- Describe a fitness goal of your own:
- What are 3 ways the option you picked can help you reach that goal?
- Now, create an example of a 2-week plan of different physical activities:
