You are a group of teachers who are improving your level of English doing a specialization. You want to apply some technologies in the classroom. So, you need your students to become autonomous in the process of learning English as a foreign language. Specifically you want to investigate how the use of computers and information technology can improve this level of autonomy of the English learners in Cartagena.
Task

You are a team of 5 English teachers exploring how autonomy through the application of technology in English learning could improve the language level of students in Cartagena.
You have to research how autonomy and the use of computers can help our students to learn more and easier by themselves, to take charge of their own learning process, improve their academic peformance, improve their skills and apply more technology in schools and universities. Your research will include the organization and analysis of your findings, development of recommendations and preparation of a plan of action to acheive these goals.
Process

1. You have to research the following topices of how autonomy and the use of computers can help our students to improve their learning of English as a foreign language.
- Level of student's technology managament at the schools and universities where you're working.
- Autonomy level of students when they are interested in learning English.
- Resources they have available at home to study alone.
2. Your research will result in:
- An integrated report on the above aspects and your recommendations for the autonomous learning level of students in English
- A powerpoint presentation of your report with the key findings and recommendations. The presentation will be recorded on video.
3. Each member of the group will take responsibility for the development of this activity.
4. Each memeber of the group has to do his/her research on the aspects with the relevant links provided here.
5. It is expected that each teacher will discuss, collaborate, and share information during his/her research.
6. This webquest research project is expected to take no longer than six weeks.
7. The integrated report is to be no longer than 5 pages.
8. The powerpoint presentation is to be a maximum of 20 minutes.
