Introduction
Welcome Explorers!!!
Are you ready to go on a Global Adventure? Let's begin!
In class we have several globes of Earth. It shows all of the lands and oceans and completing this WebQuest will give you information on creating your own map of the globe!
Do you know how many continents and oceans make up our globe? What about which continent is the largest....smallest? Which continent are we in right now? Which hemisphere is our continent in?
Let's get started on our Global Adventure to explore the hemispheres, continents, and oceans. 5.....4......3......2.....1, and we're off!

Task

To complete our Global Adventure WebQuest it will take us five days. You will be assigned a partner to begin your Global Adventure.
Follow the link under each day to answer and complete the task for that day.
On one sheet of paper write down the answers to the task for our 1st day. You will turn in your sheet of paper with both you and your partner's name on to receive the globe map for day two task.
The globe map will be used to complete day 2-4 tasks. You will turn your completed map to me.
Along your adventure there will be helpful songs, videos, and games to practice for you to know more on labeling a blank globe map on your own!
There is so much to explore and I am excited for you to experience this adventure!
Good luck and have FUN explorers!!!

To label your map please use this key: label the Equator purple, the Prime Meridian red, and write the four Hemispheres in black.
When you finish labeling for today place both of your names on your map and turn into me. I will give you back your maps to continue for Day 3 tomorrow!
Day 3: Continents
Before you begin make sure you got back your map you turned in yesterday. You will add onto it today! There are seven continents. Explore each one with your partner. Click here to listen to this fun song to familiar with the content names!
Click here (then scroll down) to explore each continent before moving on
https://www.kids-world-travel-guide.com/continent-facts.html
Label all of the continents onto your global map with a black pen so it is easily read. You can shade in your continents the color they are highlighted here in Day 3 links. Make sure all continents are labeled! Use a yellow highlighter or yellow color pencil to color the continent name we live in right now. When you are done coloring in the continents, labeling the names in black pen, and highlighting our continent we are in right now in yellow turn it back into me to finish today's task!
Day 4: Oceans
Be sure you and your partner get your map from me before beginning today. There are five oceans. Listent here at this link to hear a song about the oceans! This link will give you tons of information about oceans. Be sure to label on your map the five oceans. Write the ocean names in black pen and color all oceans of the globe map blue. Why blue? Because the ocean is BLUE! :) Turn in your map again to me. One more day and we will finish our Global Adventure!!!
Day 5: Quiz
Today is the day we see how well you can identify and label your global map! Use this link first to review and play a game on the continents and oceans. Each partner will receive a new blank global map. Put your name on it! For your map label all 7 continents, 5 oceans, Equator, Prime Meridian, and 4 Hemispheres. No coloring needed! You wil only use your own brain to label your blank map - so pause from the computer and partner right...now!
