This webquest was conceived as an alternative to the standard (boring) lectures on Shakespeare, drama, and Elizabethan England. Through the questions section of the journal, students will explore Shakespeare's life, his times, and his work as a theater professional. Through the play analysis, students get a chance to examine Shakespearean style and his construction of story and characters without having to cover the whole canon. Through the play-scene performance, students will have a fun opportunity to demonstrate some of what they've learned in a practical way.
