Introduction
Ever think about what you want to do when you grow up?
In the following webquest you are going to discover a lot about a career that you would like to investigate, and then create an informative pamphlet telling us about the career.

Task
Task 1: Think about your future. What kind of a job do you see yourself doing when you grow up? Research a job by visiting the following websites:

and pick a career from the sight that you would like to do some more research on.
See the process section of the website for more information about what research must be included in your project!
Task 2: Create a pamphlet on paper with the information collected in the research section of the project. You must include the information, you collected on your pamphlet. Please list the headings and put the information under them in your pamphlet. Decide what kind of pictures you might want to include to make your pamphlet visual. Show your completed paper pamphlet to Ms. Liseth or myself.
Task 3: Create your pamphlet on the computer and add at least 3 graphics. Make sure to include all the information from your paper copy. Don't forget to add your name to the cover.
Process
You are now ready for the research portion of your project. Your time in the computer lab will be limited, so be sure to use it wisely. The first step is to gather some facts about the job. You will need to find information for the following three categories. This information will then be presented in your pamphlet.
In your pamphlet, you must answer the questions using TTQA, and include a supporting detail (fact quoted from your research). No concluding sentence is needed.
1. Training, Education, and Skills- Discuss the answers to at least 3 of these questions in your pamphlet.
a. What type of education is required and where can this education be found?
b. List a university/trade school/etc. that carries this kind of training.
c. What is the cost of education?
d. Is there any type of internship/apprenticeship required?
e. Does this job require any special license or passing a test to get in?
f. Does this job require you to keep learning new skills?
g. What technology is used?
h. Do you have to communicate orally or in writing in this job?
I. Do you use math or reading in this job? How or what?
j. Do you use any of the sciences? What or how?
k. Do you need to learn a foreign language?
2. Daily routine, “A Day in the Life of a _____________.” Include the answers to at least 3 questions.
a. Describe what a typical day would look like in your occupation.
