Welcome to the course of Composition II.The purpose of this WebQuest is to help students improve their writing skills through the elaboration of an effective persuasive essay.The lesson provide the correct steps and tips to create an intesting essay.
Learning Objectives:
Upon, completion of this lesson, participants will be able to
- Identify the correct structure part of a persuasive essay. (Introduction, body ,and conclusion)
- Organize thoughts and ideas for prewriting.
- Outline a persuasive essay.
- Revise their writing by adding details and strong examples that will convince others of their argument.
- Use appropriate linking words and connectors.
- Write an interesting persuasive essay.
Task
Task: # 1
- First of all, students should explore the PDF documents about "Persuasive Topics" read over the options, and select one.
- After having selected a topic students should prepare an outline using this hamburger templete.

- Now, it is time to think and organize your ideas.
Task # 2
After prepare your outline, students will start to write a persuasive essay with the same topic using in the outline .This essay should include :
- An interesting and persuasive introductory paragraph
- ( 3) Body Paragraphs - facts, details and examples to support your ideas.
- Strong Concluding Paragraph.
Task #3 Revising and Editing
Students will use the following chart "Revising Checklist for Persuasive Essays " in order to see how their can improve it and avoid mistakes.
This is a good way to improve their essay and correct all grammar, puntuation , capitalization, coherence and spelling errors before delivering your final essay.
