There are many different types of animals who go through Metamorphosis. Metamorphosis is a huge word! With using 3 simple words, this is the simple definition: Body shape shifter. People do change from birth to adulthood, however, we still have 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 hands, plus, 2 legs. Metamorphosis is a unique change that happens to certain animals. For example, caterpillars comes in this world in different colors, shapes, and sizes. Ever wonder how much can a caterpillar eat. Come on and let’s find out!

After reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar, students will have new insight on the 4 stages of the caterpillar.
By the end of the WebQuest, students will be paired together to do physical activity on the 4 stages of the caterpillar. Then, they will go home with class supplies such as plates and different paper-cut foods. The next day, each student will show the class their original artwork and describe what the caterpillar is eating and what stage the caterpillar is in. Also, the students will match their own unique artwork to the specific day of the week to the story.

Conclusion
Students have done their research and used their new insight in the homemade artwork. Students have shared their artwork to the classmates. Also, they have matched the days of week from the story to what object the caterpillar has eaten. All students will have their artwork in across the classroom. Plus, the students have used what they learn from the class to present the group presentation to perform the caterpillar body growth to adulthood.
