Memorial Day

Introduction

 

Memorial Day is one of the most important national holidays in the United States. Although for many people it is simply the "kick-off" for summer, Memorial Day gives us an opportunity to reflect on the past and learn about ourselves, including the United States military, and its role in our country's history. We will be focusing on one small part of the largest war the world has ever seen: World War II. On this WebQuest, you will be given the opportunity to learn more about ultimate sacrifce - the reason behind Memorial Day.
