Mathematics Lesson (The Clock)

Introduction

Hey boys and girls, welcome to smart learner, where every child is smart. We will looking on the clock where we will be able to manage our time on a daily basis.

Task

Today students will be learning about the features of the clock,  identifying the clock and its hands, tell the time in half past and quarter past the hour and able to identify half and quarter past the hour.

Process

STUDENTS READY, SET, GO

Resources used: computer, clock models, real clocks, stamp pad

Students will then use the clock provided, rotate the hands to tell what time time the clock is saying.

Now students will talk about how many hours makes a day and clocks with different times will stamped in students books for them to write what time each clock is saying.

Conclusion

Students were able to tell that the clock is a timepiece that shows the time of the day.It is used for telling the time with hands of hour, minute and second.

Students where able to tell that  short hand of the clock tells the hour and the long hand tells the minute and able to read the analog clock with digital display.

Students grasp the concept of using the time in a everyday life scenario.
