Contributions of the Roman Empire

Task

The Roman Empire - Contributions in Architecture & Engineering

Students will use the history textbook, as well as internet sources to gather information about some of the most significant contributions of the Romans in the field of architecture & engineering.

Process
  • Use the graphic organizer provided in class as a guide for conducting your research
  • First check the textbook (Chapter 1.Section 1) to gather facts about each topic
  • Next use the internet to gather additional information about each contribution
  • Do not copy & paste facts from the internet -- read for the most important & most interesting facts, and then put the information down on the graphic organizer in your own words
  • Your facts should answer the questions curious minds would want to know ... who, when, where, why, how ... why was this contribution considered significant both then and now
