When generating article ideas, it is important to remember:
- What is the format of a magazine article
- Analyze the format to best suit you
- Consider recent trends and other popular motifs
- Find out what is happening in the world around you (past, present, and future)
- Create your own style and voice on whatever topic you decide
When crafting the article, it is important to remember:
- Research your topic
- Find proper sources, primary or secondary
- Interview sources, and make sure to transcribe them!
- Create an outline
- A strong opening, good use of quotes, and definitive closing matter
When revising the article, it is important to remember:
- Consult an editor
- Apply editor and peer feedback
- Revise the article
- Revise the article again
