Macromolecules

Introduction

There are 4 macromolecules, although they have their differences, the more you look there's many similarities between them. In this WebQuest, you'll discover just how similar they can be.

Task

At the end of this WebQuest, you should understand the similarities of all macromolecules and be able to compare them.

Process

How will you find these comparisons?

Step 1: Get with a partner

Step 2: Search up each macromolecule and copy facts of each one

Step 3: Compare and contrast each macromolecule with your partner

Step 4: Put macromolecules in a venn diagram

Step 5: You're done!

Evaluation

What similarities did you and your partner come up with? Did you miss any?

Conclusion

Carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acid are the four macromolecules. Some similarities you should've came up with are all 4 have carbon atoms, all 4 have oxygen, all 4 have hydrogen, all 4 play important roles in biology, and lipids and complex carbs both store energy.
