Today I want you to use this webquest as a review to find out what you need to study for the test.  I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have.  Do your best this will not be taken for a grade.

Please show all of your work on a piece of paper.  Try and work on this without your notes and by yourself.  The answers will be at the end of the webquest so that you can check your answers. Please use the answers as a guide instead of your work.  If you have any questions please ask questions.  

Process

* ^() means everything in the parentheses is an exponent

*(base #) means that it is the superscript of the # of the log

*round to the 4th decimal place if needed

Graph:

1. y=4^(x+2)-3

2. y=log(base 6)(x-1)+2

Convert to Logarithmic:

3. 3^x=25

4. 25^(1/2)=5

Convert to Exponential:

5. log(base 3)9=2

6. log(base 6)x=y

Expand:

7. log 6x^2/yz^3

8. log(base 6) (5ab)^1/2

        * ^1/2 means everything in the parentheses is square rooted.

Condense:

9. 2log(base 3)a + 3log(base 3)b - 4log(base 3)c - log(base 3)d

10. 5log(base 5)x - log(base 5)y - log(base 5)z

Solve:

12. log4x+logx=2

13. log(base 2)(x+7) - log(base 2)3= 3log(base 2)3

14. 3^x=34

15. 4^(x-1)+4=23

16. 3*6^(2x+3)=54
