Introduction

You are going to be learning about the U.S. government and how it functions such as: how a bill becomes a law, senate, house of representatives, duties as a citzen, and checks and balances. You will also look at how our government works for North Carolina specifically. Be prepared to read and answer questions from your graphic organizer.

Task

You will be using the links in the "credits" tab to research on the topics provided on your graphic organizer. This is a chance for you to learn how the government functions and what specifically is going on in North Carolina today.

Learning Targets: I can explain how checks and balances are utilized/ how a bill becomes a law/ the rights and duties of a citizen.

Process

1. You will be working INDEPENDENTLY on this assignment to get your graphic organizers complete. If you have questions please as Mrs. Watson.

Evaluation

You will be graded based upon completion and accuracy of your work.
