How should older people or people in higher position be addressed?
Today we will learn how to formally address these people.
There is good and wrong ways to do this which you should know. What you will learn today on this will help you.
Task
The way we talk to others affect how they view us. It is very important to think of who we are addressing and how we should address them. We are learning in this lesson to address older people and people of higher positions in a formal way. Using an informal way to these people may be taken as an insult.

You will be making an 8.5" x 11" landscape poster on your own.
You will need:
1. 1 x 8.5" x 11" cardboard the color you want.
2. 5 4'' pieces of cardboard the color you want.
3. Glue
4. Scissors
5. Pens and pencils
On each of the 5 4'' color cardboard pieces, write all possible formal address that can be used.
*Remember, the poster is due next week on Monday.

Evaluation
I will evaluate you as follows:
5 points for correct 5 4'' cardboards with some formal addresses on them.
4 points for following the rules.
3 points for the right poster side of 8.5'' x 11''
2 points for originality
1 point for doing the project.
Conclusion

Just before you leave class, write on the board at least one formal address you would use for an older person or a person in higher position. Write your name beside it and you will get maximum 3 extra points.
