Living and Nonliving

Introduction

Welcome to the investigation into how living  and nonliving environments work together to survive.  You will investigate different ecosystems and  create one of your own!

Task

You will work with your group to investigate ecosystems

Read about them and  answer the questions for each website.

Process

  • What is an  ecosystem?

First you  will watch a  video about ecosystems.

  • What are  some  different ecosystems?

Next, read and explore different habitats.  How does the living and the nonliving things depend on  each other for survival?

Evaluation

Draw an illustration of an  ecosystem that you  learned about.  What depends on  each other what would happen if  the nonliving things was not there?

To present  it to the  class, you may choose to  write about it, sing a  song  about it, or talk about it.

Conclusion

How do living and nonliving things depend of each in  an  ecosysystem?  What is it important to take care of our ecosystems?
