Conclusion

This lesson provided students to research and write about the importance of Lithgow to the wider economy and history of Australia, and how that importance has shifted to a different sector. Students also had the chance to create a prediction for how they interpret the data to argue how they believe Lithgow's importance will rise or fall in the future.

Students also had the chance to investigate the local government of Lithgow, who the council is comprised of, their initiatives on their website as well as other Parliament representatives.
