Life of Pi

Introduction

Good day students.

Today we will be focusing on essay preparation, however it will be focused on Life of Pi. This is WebQuest giving students the opportunity to work with essays using online materials. Throughout the WebQuest there will be a task given to learners followed by a process on essay guidelines. Once the procedure is done there will be a rubric for the essays in the evaluation part followed by a conclusion to end the lesson.

Task

In the following task students will have to write an essay on Life of Pi. The instructions below should be taken into consideration when writing up your essay.

Process

There are many different types of essays one can write on. Today we will be focusing on how to write a good essay. Your essay should have a clear heading followed by an introduction, body and conclusion.

How to write a good essay:

  • Plan

The first step to a good essay is to Plan. This will take time but if you put effort into this part it will make your essay much better. There are different ways to planning your essay, such as mind maps, bullet points or even simply making a table.

  • Have a clear structure

Your essay should follow the same logical pattern as an argument or a speech. To answer the question, you must bring all your points together. Start with the basics; it's best to pick a few important topics that will serve as the basis for your primary paragraphs. It's a good idea to have three key paragraphs. Arrange your essays in a logical manner.

  • Back up your points with well-analyzed quotations

Keep an eye out for comprehensive strategies while selecting the greatest quotations to include in your essay. Why should an essay be any different? You wouldn't write a scientific report without including evidence to back up your findings, so why should an essay be any different? There's no harm in attempting to substantiate every argument you make with a quotation, even if it's not essential.

  • Be creative

Anyone can write an essay utilizing the tips above, but what makes it truly "excellent" is your own unique perspective on the issue. If you see something exciting or odd in your reading, mention it: if you find it interesting, the examiner is likely to find it interesting as well.

Last thing is that you should have fun while writing your essay!!!
