Introduction
In this Web Quest you will be learning about the life cycle of the caterpillar! You will be answering questions like where butterflies come from? How do caterpillars become a butterfly? What do caterpillars go through to become a butterfly? Butterflies go through four life stages, and at each stage they look very, very different. Today we will look at butterflies!
Task
While doing this Web Quest you will be looking at different websites to answer the questions from the introduction. While doing so you will discover the life cycle of the caterpillar. You will be in groups of four and each of you will be assigned a specific stage to research. Once everyone has researched there stage, you will get together to discuss all four stages.
You will need the information of the four stages for the second part of the Web Quest. On your own you will create a butterfly that goes through the four stages.

- You will start by viewing a video clip on the life cycle of the butterfly
- Then you will click on the following links to learn more about your stage. Write down what you learn. You will later share the information you found with your group.
