Task

Your task as a young scientist is to learn about the butterfly life cycle and create a digital presentation on Canva that can teach others about the four stages.

  1. Egg
  2. Caterpillar (Larva)
  3. Pupa
  4. Butterfly (Adult)

Your presentation should include:

Step 3: Work with your peers

Share your ideas with your peers and talk bout what you learned. Practice explaining the life cycle to one another. Students may use a class discussion board to share ideas.

Step 4: Work on your project

Create a Canva slideshow showing the entire butterfly life cycle.

  • Slide 1: Title (Include title and your name)
  • Slide 2: Egg (Stage 1 as title, image, and description)
  • Slide 3: Caterpillar (Stage 2 as title, image, and description)
  • Slide 4: Pupa (Stage 3 as title, image, and description)
  • Slide 5: Butterfly (Stage 4 as title, image, and description)
  • Slide 6: 2 Interesting Facts on butterflies
  • Slide 7: Conclusion/ Thank you

Step 5: Review

Look over your project. Ask yourself these questions.

  • Did I include all four stages?
  • Are the stages in order?
  • Are my sentences complete?
  • Did I include pictures for each stage?
  • Did I share 2 interesting facts?
