Introduction
Small groups of students will investigate the life cycle of the butterfly.
Task
The groups will find the life cycle on a predetermined web site. They will prepare a model of the life cycle and will present the life cycle to the class through a demonstration.
Process

•Read and discuss the life cycle of the butterfly
•Discuss how you can create a model of the life cycle and what items you will need
make a list of the items you will need to create your model
•Discuss the list with Mrs. Carper
•Discuss ways use yourselves to demonstrate the life cycle of the butterfly
•Practice your demonstration
•Get supplies needed for model from Mrs. Carper
•Put model together model of the life cycle of a butterfly
Evaluation
Students will be evaluated based on a rubric. The rubric will include criteria for working together, creating a model of the life cycle of a butterfly, and developing a physical demonstration.
Conclusion
We will conclude our webquest activity by discussing each groups model and demonstrations. We will discuss the different and creative ways the groups presented the information.
