Introduction
Have you ever wondered why you and your friend's study for exams differently? Some people use a whiteboard, some people do group studies, and some watch lectures. This is the difference between Cognitive Psychology, Behaviorism, and Social Cognitive Theory. These theories shape the way people learn. Psychologist have been thinking of the way and looking for reasons why people study or learn the way they do.
In this WebQuest you will be getting in groups of 3 and figuring out which study tactic fits you the best! This assignment will help you gain insight on different theories, and which study tactic works best for you. It will allow you to compare and contrast with others in your group as well. Knowing the best way you study will not only help you with this assignment, but for assignments and exams in the future.
Task
Your Assignment: Figure out which study tactic fits you best! Get in a group of 4 and each try a different study tactic. Rotate tactics and find which one you liked the best!
You will:
- Do research on each theory.
- Do a trial run on each theory.
- Find which works for you.
- Write a one-page reflection on the assignment.
What your outcome will be:
- You will create a word document reflecting the assignment and turn it in on Canvas!
- Your word document should have a definition of each theory and which theory worked best for you!

Step 2:
Figure out your strategies!
One person will watch a video about photosynthesis, one will use flashcards that have been previously made by me, and two will teach each other about photosynthesis. You will all rotate until each of you have done each learning tactic.
Step 3:
Conclude your research!
Write a one-page reflection of the assignment. Be sure to include a description of each theory and describe which theory worked the best for you. Make sure to explain why this theory worked best for you. Turn this in to Canva when you are done!
