Teacher Page
Hi I am Amma Jackson-Hall, your teacher for Personal Development class, where I only teach grade seven (7) students. I am also a Guidance Counsellor by profession, where I have obtained a bachelors degree in Guidance and Counselling at The Mico University College. I am employed at the Port Antonio High School where I have been working for six (6) years in this post. I enjoy my job as a Guidance Counsellor and also the interactions I have with my students. It is my passion to help children strive and to create a positive change among children. As a Counsellor, I don’t only counsel students but I implement interventions that will address the needs of my students, I am a strong advocate for my students and will go far and beyond to ensure their needs are met whether psychologically, emotionally, physically and academically.
One of my philosophy states “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate, our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure” – by Marianne Williamson. A quote I love dearly and one which speaks distinctively to our children. I believe that all children are unique and can be anything they put their minds to by removing the fear that is created by others; with the right people to steer, motivate and mold them into positive, strong, creative and brilliant beings into tomorrow’s society. Thank you for participating in class and see you next class.
