This 5 day WebQuest was designed to educate students about how Civil War erupted in the South. Students will review South Carolina’s history, states geographical regions, government structure, and economy before the war. The state of South Carolina Standards of Education requires that students obtain at least four areas of these areas.
In 1670, William Sayle established the first permanent colony at Albermarle Point. It was later relocated to Oyster Point for better protection or defense. The colonists also, established Charleston as their capital and main cultural center for a wealthy South
