Nursing can attest to needs having first-hand bedside experience, playing an essential role in implementing change for safe staffing. Evidence supported, efficient staffing has improved outcomes and employee retention, saving organizations from costs associated with high turnover rates.Begin encouraging nurses to become affiliated with a larger organization, to support the initiative and create awareness of the issue. With the issue identified, establish internal and external stakeholders who can attest to the issue and establish a means of promoting agenda for legislative support (Phillips, 2003). 

Nurse's should join organizations supportive of safety-driven initiatives, expanding political voice and develop educational pathways to deliver desired change. Identified, internal and external stakeholders who present opportunities to establish a safe nurse to patient ratios out to all which we are in contact with. Attained support of resources, intended to influence local, state and federal support, delivering mandated change for the safety of all involved (Pandi-Perumal, 2015).
