Introduction
In this lesson we will learn and discuss the different skills and rules that a student should know to play a game of futsal. First we will discuss the history and rules and regulations of the sport. Then we will break apart the game into specific skills and learn about these skills. Finally we will put all the skills together and watch a segment of a game of futsal so that the students are able to
Task
First we will look at a history brief history of futsal and how to play. We will have a reveal and brief discussion about the sport before watching 2 videos that will take a total of 5 min. One video is about the history of futsal while the other is about how to play the game.

The second video to explain the how to play the game.
After the students watch the video we will break in to literature circles (groups of 5) and discuss what we saw in those videos and address key points.
Key points
When and where the game was created?
How many players per team?
How many play at one time?
How do you move the ball?
How do you make substitutions?
How do you score?
What are reasons for stopping play?
What are fouls and how are the penalized?
How long is the game?
How do you start and end the game or half?
After discussing the key points of the videos we will stay in our groups and we will then jig saw information about the game of futsal.
The topics that will be assigned are
Passing
Dribbling
Defense
Goal tending
Rules
Penalties
After each of the groups has performed their individual research on the topic that their group was assigned the are to present as a group the information that they found. To gather this information they will be allowed to use the computer or mobile devices.
Finally after all of the presentations the students will be given a knowledge based assessment. This quiz is to make sure that the students learned the information that will be important to them learning how to play the game of futsal.
Process
The process of this would be the students come in to class. You could have them sit in groups or as individuals.
After which you open the topic of discussion briefly discussing the topic of Futsal. This breaks the ice about the subject and you can see the prior knowledge that your students have of the sport.
After this the students watch the first video.
Then you discuss the video a little bit.
After the first video has been discussed you will then discuss expectations for the next video.
Play the second video.
Discuss the video. After this point you will put the class into groups so that they can answer the questions listed in task. this will allow those with any learning needs to receive the help that they need and help everyone better commit the information to memory.
After giving enough time for the discussion to take place thee students will participate in a class discussion about the questions as entire groups.
This process should take about 50 minutes.
Evaluation
The evaluations that would occur during this lesson will be based on the information that was presented. The information needs to be on the general topics presented as more specific information will be given out when the skills are practiced.
The assessment will be a short 5 question assessment.
What year was the sport created and where?
How many players can be on the court at one time per team?
What sport is the game based upon?
How do you advance the ball?
How many points is one goal worth?
Conclusion
In conclusion the students will learn about the game futsal. This will be done in a manner where the students learn the different parts of the game, the history, and the rules. This will lead into the students learning different skills, how to perform them, and how to apply them to an actual game.
The methods used will allow the students to work together and increase the chances that they will commit the information to memory and that they will feel less stress while learning the information which will increase the probability that they will do well in assessments .
