Student Level: Average students from F3

In this lesson, students will practice using if-conditional type 2 to offer suggestions.

Task

Encourage Charlie Brown to talk to the red-haired girl he likes, using if-conditional type 2 (e.g. Charlie Brown, if I were you, I would just go and talk to her. If I were the red-haired girl, I would not like a book of poetry.)

Process

Teacher reminds students how to use the grammar item.

Students discuss and design a poster.

Evaluation

Students come in front of everyone with their posters and present their thoughts.

Teacher points out errors that students make. (e.g. verb forms - past tense for if clause, modal verbs for main clause)

Conclusion

How to use if-conditional type 2 in other contexts (application).
