Learn how to reduce your environmental impact

Introduction

In this project, you will learn how to reduce your environmental impact by researching ways to reduce your impact and writing one page single-spaced paper on how you will reduce your impact personally. For this project, you will also complete an environmental improvement project. You will choose a place in the environment to improve in any way you choose. This could be picking up trash, pulling weeds, planting a tree or flowers, doing something to improve the area you have chosen. Take pictures of your completed project and a short summary of how you felt after the completion of the project.

Process

  1. Research how to reduce your environmental impact 
  2. Choose a way you will reduce your impact and write one page single-spaced paper 
  3. Choose an area in which you will improve 
  4. Take pictures of the area you improved before and after 
  5. Write a short summary of how you felt after completing your project. 

Evaluation

You will be evaluated on the single-spaced paper, the pictures, and the completion of the summary.  The paper is worth 100 points and the pictures and summary are worth 50 points for a total of 150 points for the project. 

Conclusion

At the end of this project, you will have learned how to reduce your impact on the environment well improving the environment. Hopefully, this project will have taught you to care more about the world and the impact you can have on it for better or worse.

Educational goal-  The students will learn how humans impact the world environmentally. They will also learn how we can reduce our impact on the world. 

Students will research any way they can to understand how humans have impacted the world and what they can do to reduce their negative impact.
