Mean, median, mode, and range are mathematical ideas that we can use in every day life. Did you know that we could even use these concepts to help us pick where to go for summer vacation!?
Let's pretend your family is planning a trip to the beach, and you want to learn how to surf. You must choose a beach in one of these states: Oregon, California, Texas, Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Hawaii.
You're probably leaning towards Hawaii, but wait! Don't forget your parent is terrified of sharks! Which state should you choose? You will use mean, median, mode, and range to help you decide.
