Introduction
Task
You can chooose from any of these tasks for your webquest project. They all have something to do with the life of Southwest Native Americans.
1. Make your own Kachina doll. Write a short story about the certain marks on the doll and how they have to do with helping the kids with learning about the tribal ceromonies.
2. Design a clothing article with the type of clothing that the Southwest Native Americans wore.
3. Write a realistic fiction story. In this story you should be the tribe leader and pretend someone in your tribe just had a baby. (You choose the gender.) You can explain how the baby is adapting to it's new life as a Southwest Native American. Then choose the name for the baby. Try to choose something that means something. Maybe something about how the baby looks or acts. Your choice.
4.Make a pueblo settlement out of card board. (Refer to picture in introduction. Doesn't have to be that detailed.)

Process
These are the steps you need to be following for each of the tasks:
1. You can make the outline of a kachina doll and color it, you can also make it out of cloth. Look at pictures of kachina dolls. Tell me your opinion on how you think these dolls help the southwest children learn about tribal ceromonies. Your opinion should have at least three reasons why you think these dolls help the children or do not.
2. Your clothing article should have at least five clothing hand-drawn, colorful pictures of Southwest indian clothing. Captions should be under every hand-drawn picture.
3. Your realistic fiction story should be 5 paragraphs long. The first paragraph should be your introduction (introducinfg you as a tribe leader.) Your second paragraph should be about the baby being born (the gender and who gave birth to the baby.) The third paragraph should be about how the baby acts. Your fourth paragraph should be about what you finally decide to name the baby and why and what it means. Your last paragraph should be your conclusion (Your reationship with the baby and a little bit about the babys' furture life.)
4.Your pueblo settlement should be at least 6 inches and is arranged like a proper pueblo settlement.
