Task
Las partes del cuerpo!

This lesson will teach you various parts of the body in Spanish as well as the use of the verb 'tener' to identify how many of each body part/s you have. You will also engage in fun activities to practice the structure.
At the end of the lesson:
- You should be able to verbally identify the body parts in Spanish and be able to answer questions about them.
- You should be able label a diagram of the body in Spanish- stating how many of each body parts you have using the verb 'tener'
- You should be able to construct a dialogue asking and telling someone how many of each body parts you have (both orally and written).
Process
Warm up activity:
- You will click on the link below and watch the video. After watching the video twice write down all the words you remember based on what you saw and heard in Spanish.
- Click on the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOg6y-Q59eM to watch the video about the different parts of the body.
2. Now let's practice what you have learned with a quick review game. Click on the link below to access the game. Once in, click the "start" button to begin your game.

3.Below is the conjugation of the verb 'tener' in the 1st person 2nd person and 3rd person singular. You will use the first (1st) person singular (yo tengo) to talk about the different body parts you have; the second person singular (t� tienes)tell someone directly how many body parts he/she has. the third person singular is use to say how many body parts someone else has.
Yo tengo- I have
Tu tienes- You have (familar)
El tiene- He has
Ella tiene- She has
To ask the question of how many hands or other body part/s someone has use the following structure:
Martin: �Juan, cu�ntas manos tienes?
Juan: Yo tengo dos manos.
Martin: �Cu�ntas orejas Maria tiene?
Juan: Maria tiene dos orejas.
4. You will watch the video and then write down how many of each body parts you have using the first person singular form of the verb 'tener'. In addition, you will listen keenly to the pronunciations of the words in Spanish in the video below. Repeat the words you hear and touch the different parts of your body.

This webquest is a specially designed educational tools to assist students in understanding the topic, Las Partes del Cuerpo, which was taught over a two week period. The special tasks and activities were designed to help students who learn in different ways to be engaged and in control of their learning progress.
STANDARDS
This WebQuest covers the concept of body parts in Spanish and the use of the verb 'tener' in identifying the number of body parts one has. It also presents students with the opportunity of asking and telling how many of each body parts other people have as well as stating how many body parts they have.The students should also be able to identify the different body parts.This is on par with the school curriculum which stipulates that body part is supposed to be taught at the grade 8 level.
