Sub Topic: Alphabetical order
The alphabet has twenty-six letters. A,B,C,D,E,F,G ,H,I, J,K ,L ,M ,N,O,P,Q,R,S,T,U,V,W,X,Y,Z
To understand the alphabetical order of words consider the following:
1. If words begin with different letters arrange them according to the first letter.
For Example: arrange the following in alphabetical order ( duck, bird, ant, cat)
Ant- a comes before b
Bird-b comes before c
cat- c comes before d
duck
2. If words begin with the same letter, look at the second letter of each word.
For Example: arrange the following words in alphabetical order (glad, good, gate)
Gate- a comes before l
glad- l comes before o
good
3. If the first two letters are the same, look at the third letter.
For Example: secret, sea
Sea- a comes before c
secret

Let's play a game (ABC fast or slow)
Instruction: Students will be given a letter, the letter will be used as a guide to find names of a person, animal, place and thing. Then write the words in alphabetical order
