Introduction
You are going to become a world traveler and an animal expert today! So grab your explorer gear and lets get started!
Task
You are going to use the internet to travel around the world. At each internet site you will learn about one animal and observe what the land looks like where they live (their environment). When you finish exploring you will be able to match the animals to the correct environment.
Process
Go to each website and find the animal listed.
Watch the video for that animal.
Draw a picture of the animal and what the land around the animal looked like. Were there trees, water, snow, etc?

Once you have explored every animal talk to a friend. What was your favorite animal? Where did they live? Are there any other animals you would like to know where they live? What do you think environment means?
Evaluation
Use the pictures you drew of each animal to match the animal to their correct evironment.
1. Monkey A. African plain (grass)
2. Penguin B. Cave
3. Blue Whale C. Jungle
4. Bat D. Antartica (snow and ice)
5. Elephant E. Ocean
Match the number to the correct letter for example 1C because monkeys live in the jungle.
Conclusion
Congratulations! You are on your way to becoming an animal expert! You understand that animals live in different types of land or water and that this is called their environment. What other animal environments can you find? Can you think of any other animals that live in a different kind of environment?
