Title: King Arthur: Tone and Diction Analysis
Task
Task: Your task is to read several versions of King Arthur and analyze the use of diction and how it affects the tone of the stories. Consider the following questions: Why would the author choose their particular tone for each story? How does the author use diction to establish tone?

3. Read/watch the following King Arthur stories:

The Sword and the Stone
As you read, take notes on diction and tone.
Discuss with your partner to figure out tone.
Discuss with partner how that tone is established.
Discuss with partner if the tone is fitting and effective for the story.
You will turn in one paper between the two of you.
