Warrior Nobles

Introduction

In class we learned that individual warrior nobles in Japan were given the title of "samurai". The job of the samurai was to enforce laws in Japan. Working alongside the Japanese shoguns, samurai were able to be in control for over 700 years.

Task

Your job is to visit the website provided to you in order to search for answers for our mini scavenger hunt about samrais. In the "Process" part of this scavenger hunt, you will find the questions that you will need to answer.

Materials needed:

Sheet of notebook paper

  • Sprial clippings cut/torn off
  • First and last name, Date, and Period on the top left corner of your page

 

You do NOT need to write the questions on your paper. Only write your anwers in complete sentences. When answering, please skip lines, not skipping lines will result in points being deducted from your final score.

Read "The Merchant in Medieval Japan" and answer the following questions using complete sentences.

Evaluation

Which would you rather be, a samurai, a ninja, a warrier monk, or a merchant? Explain in 3-5 sentences why.
