Introduction
I am sure you already know all about London or Dublin,
but do you also know anything about Edinburgh, Aberdeen or Glasgow?
Do you know if the monster of Loch Ness really lives
in that lake in the Scottish Highlands?
You dreamed about playing the bagpipes,
but you have no clue how to play it in real life?
Can you say some words in Gaelic?
Or do you ab-so-lu-te-ly not know what that means?
If you repeatedly said NO, than this is your moment to learn all about.....
SCOTLAND!

Task
Learning everything about Scotland in only one hour seems a lost cause, but WE CAN DO THIS!
- You are divided in groups of three
- Each group has a different topic:
1. symbols: the flag, the kilt and the bagpipes
2. Scottish food and drinks
3. The Highland games
4. The Scottish language(s)
5. Geography
(Remember what topic you have!)
- You look up the information you need to answer the questions that you can find under "Scotland: the facts" (page 3).
- You look up your topic in the booklet and start answering those questions.
- When you are ready, you start making a powerpoint presentation. This presentation will be 5 minutes long and you will explain to the other students everything there is to know about your topic.
- You try to fill in the questions from the other topics while listening to the presentations. You may ask questions if something in the presentation was not clear!
Note: everyone in your group will have to say something
Note: you can be as creative as you want
Let's get started!
