Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Summary: the first amendment allows you to speak your mine and believe in whatever you want to believe in because you have the right to do that thanks to the fist amendment. The first amendment also allows you to protest against any laws that you think should be changed or extended.
