Evaluation
Congratulations, you have successfully made it through the WebQuest. The ultimate goal of taking you through this WebQuest was to get you to practice the concepts of main ideas, supporting details, inferences, and context clues.
I hope that you have enjoyed and learned a lot from this WebQuest. Lastly, I leave you with some words of wisdom regarding WebQuests. WebQuests get you to process new information in a more meaningful way as compared to simply doing worksheets in a classroom. WebQuests require you to use your higher-level thinking skills and this is what makes learning from a WebQuest stick in your mind.
The Evaluation
The last and final step for this WebQuest is the evaluation. For this part, you will need to reflect on and make observations of your learning while going through this WebQuest. That being said, here are some questions that I would like you to consider. Please be prepared to discuss these questions in class.
- What are some good/bad things about the WebQuest you just went through?
- What are your feelings about this WebQuest? (for example: I really liked this WebQuest because... OR I didn't really like this thing called a WebQuest because...)
- How might students learn more/better using WebQuests?
- On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the lowest and 10 being the highest), what would you give this WebQuest?
- Could you see yourself using WebQuests in the future? Why?
- Share any comments that you would like about this WebQuest, or WebQuests in general.
Self-Evaluation Rubric
